Hi, I am a Chef called Rumé . My culinary journey started at Red Dish Chronicles Culinary School in Abuja in the year 2021, where I took on multiple responsibilities by working with seasoned senior chefs.
My keenness drove me beyond my usual abilities and helped me to graduate top of my class.
I like to describe myself as a culinary artist; a compelling food story teller on a mission to dissect, build and interpret flavors to anyone who tastes my cooking.
My love for cooking stemmed from a young age when I’d help my mom cook for family and friends. I found her aura while cooking very contagious, which was further buttressed when guests showered her with encomiums about her food. It made me elated, but more intrigued about the power of connection between people that food yields.
One of my many goals is to continue in that path of bringing people together through a variety of food experiences, prompting them to make and keep memories of cultural exchanges in their taste buds alive.
As an information and communication engineer churned chef, I approach life systematically by starting small with every business venture while creating strategies that will help me to position myself sustainably in the culinary industry.
